Exhibit Update 7/14/20
We are happy to inform you that as of this date, we are
still planning to hold our annual exhibit! Our lovely venue, Strathmore
Mansion in Rockville, Maryland, is planning to be open. In collaboration
with Strathmore Mansion, the exhibit will be set up in compliance with
State and county requirements in place at that time, which may include
social distancing, face mask mandates, etc.
We are excited that this year all artwork that is juried into the show
will be professionally photographed and viewable on our web site. Sales
will be handled by Strathmore. We generally hold our exhibit in the
upstairs gallery of the Mansion. However, this year the exhibit will
be hung throughout the Mansion.
Please note an important change to the prospectus regarding receivers.
If your last name begins with B, your works should be sent
to Bob Duggan (see link above to revised prospectus; sculptures still
go to the receiver noted in the prospectus). We will not be holding
an artists tea or awards ceremony. Our judge will select awards
and the certificates will be mailed. Award winners will be acknowledged
on the website.
Works are still due 9/5. It is critical that we have all works in hand
by 9/5, and entry forms are received by Treasurer Tom Penn by 9/5. If
our physical show must be cancelled during the coming months due to
mandates required by State and county officials, we will still have
our exhibit on-line. There would be no entry fee refunds.
We are SO excited to hold our exhibit in these uncertain times in a
safe manner, and are counting on all artists to help us promote the
exhibit! Feel free to forward this email to other artists who might
enjoy participating. We look forward to seeing your wonderful works.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank
Kind regards and stay well,
Lynne Rychlec, MPSGS Show Chair
